Grasston is a city in Kanabec County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 158 at the 2010 census.[1]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.9 square miles (2.3 km2), all of it land.
Minnesota State Highways 70 and 107 are two of the main routes in the community.
As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 105 people, 42 households, and 32 families residing in the city. The population density was 110.5 people per square mile (42.7/km²). There were 46 housing units at an average density of 48.4 per square mile (18.7/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.10% White and 1.90% Native American.
There were 42 households out of which 33.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.8% were married couples living together, 16.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.8% were non-families. 19.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.50 and the average family size was 2.78.
In the city the population was spread out with 21.9% under the age of 18, 13.3% from 18 to 24, 28.6% from 25 to 44, 22.9% from 45 to 64, and 13.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 114.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 105.0 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $41,250, and the median income for a family was $48,333. Males had a median income of $43,125 versus $23,250 for females.
